The Government of Montenegro (Government) has adopted amendments to the Decision on Defining Blocks for Hydrocarbon Exploration and Production (Decision).
The initial Decision divided the territory, including the maritime area, into exploration blocks. These amendments further specified the offshore blocks that will be offered in the upcoming tender for exploration (and production) of hydrocarbons.
These blocks combined practically represent the entire offshore zone of Montenegro.
The Government emphasised that, given the previous explorations in Montenegrin offshore and positive developments in neighbouring countries (Croatia, Italy, and Albania), Montenegro has strong grounds for optimism.
