On 3 June, our colleague Dr Maruša Pozvek, Tax Law Expert from Ketler & Partners member of Karanovic, in collaboration with the Faculty of Law, University of Maribor in Slovenia, was a guest lecturer and gave students an insight into how tax advisory looks like in practice.
The session explored the practical elements of the tax advisory process within the Slovenian legal system. Maruša navigated students through the complexities of tax advisory, tax procedure, and clarified the fine line between tax optimisation and tax evasion.
Throughout the presentation, attendees gained a deeper understanding of key tax issues. Students solve practical cases and try out the role of a tax adviser. This has become a valuable learning experience for students. At the end of the presentation, students raised various questions, leading to an engaging and informative discussion.
