Our Partner Ivan Nonković participated in Finticipate 2025, a leading regional conference on digital finance and capital markets, held in Belgrade on 23 May. He spoke in Panel #3, titled “The Future is Tokenised? Harnessing the Power of Regional Capital Markets Development and Investor Opportunities”.
The panel, moderated by Milica Andrić, CEO of AVR Solar, also featured Jovan Paunović, Founder & CEO, Treesury; Branko Petrović, Founder & CEO, ACX Bank; and Denis Petrovčič, Co-Founder & CEO, Blocksquare.
The discussion highlighted the current state of tokenisation in Southeast Europe, focusing on improved efficiency, transparency, and security. Panellists also discussed regulatory challenges, the role of sandboxes in fostering innovation, and the importance of educating investors and stakeholders. Risks such as market volatility, liquidity, and cybersecurity were considered, along with strategies to mitigate them.
Drawing on his extensive experience in financial regulation, M&A, and digital asset frameworks, Ivan provided an overview of the current legal environment surrounding the tokenisation of real-world assets. He addressed some of the key considerations for investors, market participants, and legal advisors.
His contribution reflected not only the growing need for legal expertise in the complex digital finance domain but also the value of hands-on experience in supporting startups as they address regulatory challenges and develop compliant business models.
