We are pleased to announce the launch of the first Serbian edition of The Legal Industry Reviews, an international publication dedicated to legal and business insights across global markets. The Serbian edition introduces this platform locally, bringing together reflections on key regulatory issues in the Serbian legal sector. The publication offers legislative updates and practical insights relevant to businesses operating in Serbia, provided by local legal experts.
Our Managing Partner Miloš Vučković served as Editorial Director for this inaugural edition. In the opening column, he highlights the broader forces influencing legal practice today, from global uncertainty and technological change to the profession’s responsibility in safeguarding the Rule of Law.
Additionally, our Partner Ana Luković contributed to this edition with an article titled “Hotel Management Agreements and Franchise Arrangements: Aligning Control with Brand Strategy.” Her piece examines the two dominant models used by international hotel brands entering the Serbian market. It outlines how these structures differ in risk allocation, operational control, and financial obligations, and why understanding their interaction with Serbian employment, tax, and hospitality regulations is essential for sustainable hotel operations in the region.
Beyond these contributions, LIR Serbia features commentary on recently adopted and upcoming legislation reforms, corporate transparency and UBO rules, developments in life sciences regulation, the legal complexities of remote work performed from abroad, and updates on the transformation of public enterprises and healthcare digitalisation.
We thank The Legal Industry Reviews for the opportunity to contribute to the launch of the Serbia edition and to be part of this new platform for regional legal dialogue. We hope readers will explore the full publication and benefit from the insights it offers.
