International Summer School in Belgrade

Karanović & Partners Hosts International Students for a Workshop

The Belgrade Summer School in Law & Economics, an annual event organised by the University of Belgrade’s Faculty of Law and Serbian Law and Economics Associations, successfully took place from 13 to 15 July. The primary objective of the event was to offer 25 international students a valuable opportunity to attend a series of lectures delivered by esteemed scholars.

The summer school focused also on competition law from a law and economics perspective. Karanović & Partners were among the contributors to the program. On 13 July, we hosted an insightful workshop for international students, shedding light on the Serbian perspective and infringements in the competition law practice.

During the workshop, our Senior Associate Stefan Savić and Associate Jovana Đorđević delved into the fundamentals of competition law in Serbia. They explained the significance of competition law and expounded upon how infringements in this area can impact businesses. This engaging session was further enriched by a discussion on the current trends and an overview of recent competition law practices in Serbia.

We are happy to have had the opportunity to engage in a dialogue on competition law with our future international colleagues, equipping them with valuable insights and perspectives, and fostering the growth of international legal professionals.
