On 4 December, we hosted the launch of the 19th edition of our annual Focus on Competition publication. We brought together practitioners, in-house counsels, and industry representatives for an informal discussion on regional competition-law developments, followed by networking.
The 2025 edition offers an overview of recent antitrust enforcement trends across Southeast Europe, covering Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, and Slovenia. It also reflects key developments in the retail and food-supply sector, where authorities have intensified their scrutiny.
The publication highlights key regional topics in merger control and vertical and horizontal practices, reflecting broader regulatory developments and enforcement priorities across the countries. It further addresses issues such as bid-rigging, digital-market restraints, dawn raid implications, exclusive distribution in the pharmaceutical sector, and emerging no-poach risks. As in previous years, Focus on Competition concludes with practical regional overviews and statistical insights.
