On 14 May 2025, our Partner Andrej Jelenković, representing the Montenegrin Maritime Law Association, participated in Waterborne Week, organised by the Transport Community, an international organisation that supports integrating Western Balkans’ transport markets into the EU by helping regional partners adopt EU laws and improve connectivity. During the event, Andrej presented an engaging maritime law case that sparked interest among attendees.
Participants—including government officials, port authorities, maritime law professors, and legal practitioners—engaged in discussions on practical issues related to international and Montenegrin maritime law. Key topics included damage claims arising from naval accidents and vessel collisions, limitation of liability, and procedures for vessel arrest.
We are happy to be part of the initiatives that strengthen regional cooperation and advance the development of maritime law in Montenegro and beyond.
