Overview of Force Majeure Rules in the SEE Region in Times of COVID-19 Outbreak

The pandemic, and consequently the numerous restrictive measures imposed by the governments caused significant distortions to businesses and their ability to perform the contractual obligations.

Among a number of other implications, the situation has brought into focus the question of whether the COVID-19 pandemic can be seen as a force majeure and if and to what extent it affects contractual relations.
