We are proud to announce the winners of this year’s regional art competition “What Endures Began as Imagination”, organised as part of the 30th anniversary of Karanović & Partners. The call attracted more than 120 submissions from young artists across Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Slovenia, and Albania.
This year’s competition has shown how young artists skillfully use multimedia forms, transmedia expression, and multidisciplinary art. Their works reflect a deep awareness of the disparities of the world around us, capturing its complexity with imagination and sensitivity.
After careful deliberation, the expert jury – Kristina Armuš (curator and jury chair), Svetlana Ninković (renowned abstract artist), and our Senior Partner Rastko Petaković – selected the following winners:
- First Prize – Milo Masoničić (Montenegro)
Video work Kids Forever explores universal childhood moments through a dynamic montage of film fragments, recollecting memories and emotions that shape us from an early age. - Second Prize – Nikola Radosavljević (Serbia)
His installation, House Where No One’s Died, envisions an illuminated skeletal home as a utopian space untouched by loss, drawing on architectural forms and Buddhist symbolism. - Third Prize – Ilda Halilčević (Bosnia and Herzegovina)
With her experimental video Clone Hybrid, the artist investigates identity in the digital age, blending painted animations, performance, and sound distortions to reflect on authenticity and vulnerability.
In addition to the awarded works, the exhibition at the N.EON Gallery in Belgrade, on 25 and 26 September 2025, will feature a selection of 15 outstanding artists:
Maja Bojanić, Darija Dragojlović, Nikola Dimitrović, Ilda Halilčević, Miro Kostovski, Brano Martinović, Milo Masoničić, Suzana Milinković, Una Mladenović, Teodora Nikolić, Nikola Radosavljević, Milica Savović, Zorana Stevanović, Emina Veladžić, and Milena Zović.
