Israeli company Enlight Renewable Energy (TASE: ENLT) announced that it has signed an agreement for the acquisition and joint development of a 525 MW portfolio of renewable energy projects in Croatia. The portfolio comprises five projects in various stages of development, four of which are solar, totalling 386 MW, and a wind project of 139 MW.
Our colleagues from Ilej & Partners in cooperation with Karanovic & Partners including Partner Iva Tokić Čuljak, on the M&A side, and Partner Ivana Sverak, on the RES regulatory side, with the support of the Associate Antun Skansi, advised Enlight on this very complex and extensive landmark transaction.
The portfolio is one of the largest and most advanced portfolios of renewable energy projects in Croatia and, as said in Enlight’s stock exchange announcement, it will enable Enlight to diversify its activity in Croatia to include significant solar projects, alongside its existing operational high-quality Lukovac wind project. “The acquisition also reinforces Enlight’s already strong presence across central and eastern Europe, where the company owns a 1.2 GW portfolio of renewable energy projects between Hungary, Kosovo*, Serbia and Croatia, including 316 MW of operational projects”.
Marko Lipošćak, leader of Enlight’s transactional team, thanked and emphasized: “It was great to have Ilej & Partners in cooperation with Karanovic & Partners team on board”.
