INTA committees for the 2022–2023 term

INTA COMMITTEES

We are proud to announce that this year three of our colleagues have been appointed to the following INTA committees for the 2022–2023 term:

  • Copyright Committee: Nikola Kliska, Senior Associate;
  • INTA Bulletins Committee: Kevin Rihtar, Senior Associate from Ketler & Partners, a member of Karanovic; and
  • Young Practitioners Committee: Tamara Traparić, Junior Associate.

INTA is a global association of brand owners and professionals dedicated to supporting trademarks and related intellectual property (IP) to foster consumer trust, economic growth, and innovation. Since its founding in 1878, INTA (International Trademark Association) has grown into a global community, with members worldwide and offices in multiple regions (nearly 6,500 organizations from 185 countries). INTA members collectively contribute almost US $12 trillion to global GDP annually.

Participating in a committee provides a unique volunteer opportunity to support INTA’s strategic objectives, build resume and network, and showcase leadership within the international trademark community.

Copyright Committee develops and advocates the Association’s policy regarding the impact of copyright law and enforcement on trademark rights. The committee will monitor copyright cases, legislation, and regulation in various jurisdictions, complete analyses and propose policy recommendations to the Board. Work includes report and submission writing, interaction with copyright organizations, and advocacy in conjunction with relevant INTA committees and staff. Nikola is just ending his first term in this committee and its Artificial Intelligence and 3D sub-committee.

INTA Bulletins Committee produces a substantial portion of the content for the INTA Bulletin and China Bulletin. Committee members on the five regional subcommittees (Africa & Middle East, Asia Pacific, Europe, Latin America, North America) research, write and verify the accuracy of articles on policy, trademark law and practice, and community news.

Young Practitioners Committee develops educational and professional development programs and resources specifically designed for young practitioners. Work includes content development, identification of speakers and moderators, and program implementation.

We are delighted that our talented colleagues will be able to participate and contribute to this terms’ INTA committee meaningful and valuable work.
