Student Workshops

Karanovic & Partners Brings Practical Legal Topics to Faculty of Law Students

Karanovic & Partners recently hosted two workshops at the Faculty of Law, University of Belgrade, focused on the practical legal aspects of intellectual property and renewable energy projects, designed for undergraduate and master’s students.

On 20 May, our colleagues held the “IP in Modern Business” workshop, aimed at those interested in understanding how intellectual property operates in everyday business practice. Through practical examples, participants explored the role of trademarks, patents, copyrights, and other IP rights in the modern commercial environment.

The workshop was led by our Senior Associate Nikola Kliska and Junior Associates Tara Govedarović and Nađa Marinković.

The second session in this series, titled “Renewable Energy and Law: From Concept to Power Grid,” was held on 26 May. It focused on the regulatory framework behind renewable energy projects, guiding students through the process of bringing a renewable energy idea from development to connection with the power grid.

Our Associates Jelena Jovanović and Bojan Tutić led the workshop, discussing key legal considerations, regulatory requirements, and practical challenges encountered in renewable energy projects.

Both workshops formed part of our ongoing commitment to providing opportunities for future legal professionals to gain practical insight into contemporary areas of legal practice.
