Case study: Start-up and Intellectual Property

Karanovic & Partners held an Interactive Workshop for Law Students

Karanovic & Partners held another workshop for law students called “Case study: Start-up and Intellectual Property”, in cooperation with the Faculty of Law, University in Belgrade, on April 7.

The case study included an interesting story about the “Valtazar” start-up, launched in order to provide backup legal services to lawyers in digital surroundings. However, there has been a conflict between the co-founders and a series of unresolved matters that put the future of the start-up to unrest (copyright and trademark issues included).

During this interactive online workshop, Senior Associates Nikola Kliska and Igor Radovanović provided undergraduate and master’s students with useful tips and insights from the practice. They showcased the problems legal tech start-ups are tackling and the challenges that exist in the digital surroundings.
