Multilaw Event in Belgrade

Karanović & Partners Hosts Multilaw 2023 EMEA Regional Conference

On 2 and 3 June in Belgrade, Karanovic & Partners played host to the 2023 EMEA conference, organized by Multilaw, an international network of law firms. This regional gathering brought together legal professionals from across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa to exchange insights, discuss industry trends, and forge connections.

Jon Heuvel, EMEA Regional Chair of Multilaw, and our colleague Marko Ketler, Senior Partner at Ketler & Partners, member of Karanovic, gave introductory speeches, setting the tone for the conference, while Adam Cooke, the Chief Executive Officer of Multilaw, and Jacob Kirkham, the Growth Manager, shared perspectives on the network’s latest developments and future plans, demonstrating Multilaw’s commitment to empowering its member firms.

One of the conference highlights was the opening keynote delivered by Jelena Uzelac, the founder and chief change consultant. She shed light on the future of the legal industry, offering fresh perspectives on leadership, strategy, and culture within law firms.

The panel discussion on legal tech was another significant aspect of the conference. The panel featured notable speakers, including Jorn Vanysacker, Co-CEO and Founder of Henchman, Srđan Dejanović from Legal Transformers, and Rastko Petaković, our Senior Partner. The panelists delved into the topic of legal tech innovation and emphasized its critical role in ensuring the success of law firms.

Diverse perspectives were further explored during Alexandra Neilan’s session. As the co-founder of Health is Wealth Group, London’s leading corporate wellbeing consultancy, she focused on corporate health from a neuroscience, nutrition, exercise, and supplementation standpoint, shedding light on the importance of employee well-being and its impact on overall organizational success.

Vladimir Vulić, a digital transformation strategist and co-founder and president at Digitalizuj.me, delivered an impactful keynote on digital Darwinism. He emphasized the importance of unleashing innovation potential within organizations by reinventing themselves and fostering future growth.

In addition to the informative sessions, delegates had the opportunity to attend practice group sessions, where Multilaw members shared insights on innovative services and provided updates on the latest developments within their teams.

The official program was not the only highlight of the event. Delegates also had the chance to immerse themselves in the vibrant city of Belgrade. Known for its rich history, the city offered participants the opportunity to explore its landmarks and experience its unique cultural heritage, making the conference a truly memorable occasion.

Karanovic & Partners would like to extend its heartfelt gratitude to Multilaw for entrusting them with the opportunity to host this event. The successful conference served as a testament to our commitment to excellence and its dedication to fostering collaboration and knowledge-sharing among legal professionals across the EMEA region.
