New International Tender

New International Tender for an Integrated Waste Management System in North Macedonia

The Government of North Macedonia published an international contract notice in the Official Journal of the European Union for the establishment of an integrated and self-sustainable regional waste management system in the East and North-East regions of the country.

The project involves the design and construction of a Central Waste Management Facility (“CWMF”) in the Municipality of Sveti Nikole, including a sanitary landfill, sorting plant, Mechanical Biological Treatment plant, composting plant, and Green Point, as well as the design and construction of six local waste management facilities – transfer stations in Berovo, Makedonska Kamenica, Vinica, Štip, Rankovce, and Kumanovo.

The contracting authority has organised the procurement as an open procedure for works, divided into two lots: Lot 1 for the CWMF in Sveti Nikole and Lot 2 for the six local facilities. The contractor will implement both lots under the FIDIC Yellow Book (1999 edition), with an estimated duration of 915 days per lot.

Tenderers may access the documentation through the European Commission’s Funding and Tenders Portal. The authority has set the deadline for submission of tenders at 27 March 2026 at 12:00 CET, with the public opening scheduled for 3 April 2026.
