Embracer Group Sells Saber Interactive

Embracer Group has announced the sale of Saber Interactive to Beacon Interactive, in a deal worth $247 million, marking a significant milestone in the gaming industry.

Embracer Group is a global group of creative and entrepreneurial businesses in PC/console, mobile and board games and other related media. The Group has an extensive catalogue of over 900 owned or controlled franchises.

The former CEO of Saber Interactive and part-time chief operating officer of Embracer Group Matthew Karch established a company called Beacon Interactive earlier this year, which acquired Saber Interactive from its parent company, Embracer Group.

The Serbian studio, Mad Head Games, with its operations in Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, will be among those parting ways with Embracer.
