Our colleague Dora Horvat, Partner at Ilej & Partners in cooperation with Karanovic & Partners, participated in the 19th edition of Weekend.19, held in Rovinj from 24 to 27 September 2026, as part of the HR.Weekend programme. As part of the fourth edition of HR.Weekend, which brought together more than 1,000 HR professionals and enthusiasts from across the region, Dora contributed to the programme in two different formats.
On 25 September, Dora delivered a presentation titled “What Could Possibly Go Wrong?”, addressing potential risks and challenges that can arise in the workplace and the importance of recognising and addressing them proactively.
The following day, she joined the panel “Who Has the Business’s Back?”, which explored the role of legal, regulatory, financial crime, and customer experience functions in supporting business growth. The discussion focused on the challenges of balancing business agility with increasingly complex regulatory requirements, while managing fraud risks and maintaining a positive customer experience and trust.
Weekend.19 is one of the region’s leading business and communications festivals, bringing together professionals and experts across media and communications, HR, technology, finance, investment, energy, healthcare and education. The 2026 edition featured eight parallel festivals under one roof, creating a platform for cross-industry exchange and discussion on current business and societal topics.
