Karanovic & Partners and its cooperating offices are proud to announce the promotion of three team members to the position of Senior Partner. All three have grown with our legal practice over many years, building impressive legal careers and becoming important leaders within our regional legal team of cooperating lawyers. Their journeys to the highest level of partnership reflect the long-term commitment, professional growth, and shared values that define our culture.
Franka Baica (Ilej & Partners in cooperation with Karanovic & Partners)
Franka joined the Zagreb team back in 2013 as a Junior Associate and has built her career with us step by step, earning the trust of clients and the respect of colleagues along the way. Today, she is one of the team’s key pillars and a go-to adviser for complex domestic and cross-border M&A and real estate transactions in Croatia. Her practice also covers corporate law, with a particular focus on company law and corporate governance.
Minu Anamaria Gvardjančič (Ketler & Partners, member of Karanovic)
Minu has been part of the team in Ljubljana for nine years, during which she has become one of its most defining figures. As Head of the Dispute Resolution department, she has played a central role in shaping and strengthening litigation practice in Slovenia, earning recognition as a trusted colleague, a natural leader, and an outstanding lawyer. Her expertise spans complex commercial and civil disputes, domestic and international arbitration, and employment law.
Petar joined our team in 2010 as a fresh graduate. Over the course of more than 15 years with our team, he has taken on a wide range of roles, from early work in the Corporate/M&A and Tax practice groups to becoming the driving force behind one of our strongest regional practices. Today, he heads the Energy and Natural Resources Industry Group and is one of the most prominent energy lawyers in Southeast Europe, consistently ranked top tier across all major legal directories. His work on the development, financing, and acquisition of energy projects, with a strong focus on renewables, has shaped both client mandates and the broader regulatory environment.

Watching colleagues grow from their early professional steps to Senior Partnership is one of the most rewarding aspects of building a legal practice. We congratulate Franka, Minu and Petar on becoming Senior Partners and look forward to everything they will continue to build with us.
